I have a Monster Moto 212 7.5 hp which I would like to make street legal. Seems mainly what I need are lights running off of a battery. This 212 has no electrical. Is a pull start. So my question is this: Can a battery of some sort be added and secured to to the frame somewhere , thus enabling me to add various lights required? I am ignorant but able to learn. I see just sold to make mini bikes street legal but don't see Monster Moto listed in their specs. Thanks for any advice !!!

KartFab can help ya here, he's made a street legal Manco Thunderbird.
As for lights, straight from battery to lights should work just fine, just remember to charge it!

This is predominantly determined by what state or province you live in...
Each will have different separate laws....

Ive done this twice now.

mckutzy is correct. It is really gonna depend on where you live on how it gets done. I've heard some people just go to the DMV and its done!! Where I am you have to go to the state trooper and get a "roadworthy checklist" done. After which your bikes MSO can be taken to the DMV, they take the MSO and send you motorcycle title.

Where I am the following is needed:
DOT tires
headlight
horn
brake light with running light
turn signals optional
mirrors ( although I dont use them anymore because they did nothing and look stupid).
reflector on back
an "M" endorsement on your drivers license
insurance

Its actually not too hard to do.
I can get a parts list for you if you'd like.
