as in a size 30 drill bit is hard to come by

Haha i can chuck a 30mm hole saw in the metal drill mill thingo at school and go through it hopefully. If not its gonna be a slow process with a small file

If you were to use a mounting hub, you could plasma cut it and drill to be bolted to the hub. If you open it to 30mm by hand, you will also need a square edged file to make a keyway. I guess you could get a weld-in hub for a 30mm axle. You could rough cut the sprocket hole close, weld in the hub, and the install. The only problem is making sure it's perfectly centered.

Nah ive got a carrier for the axle so i just need to make it get over the axle and then drill some bolt holes. Although if the sprocket place has sprockets with a hub that will fit my axle cheaply i might get it and use my sprocket carrier for a disc brake
