loss of power

Hello all. A taotao go kart I bought few weeks agi seems to not have a lot of power going up hills. Its a 125cc. Is there anything I can check or do to get more out of it. Its my daughters so she's not climbing mountains its just losing power even going up a sloped yard. Thanks for any help

We need more info, tire size, gear ratio, centrifugal clutch or torque converter, jack shaft, single wheel drive or 2 wheel drive?
