I need to figure out a custom throttle cable set up. I have a 5.5hp OHV Briggs and Stratton engine with a stock carbuerator. The engine came to me with a Makuni carb so I'm missing a bunch of the stock parts.

I was wondering if I could directed towards some threads or have some pictures posted of what some of you have done. I know that there are some custom throttle kits that are sold, but they all seem to be for a flat head engine which is different than mine.

I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure something out. Thanks so much!

Pics make it easier for those of us who haven't done this. If we know what we're looking at it makes it easier for us to help you :)

This is the best picture I have. The engine is in a back of a minidwarf car that is made to look like a 1932 Ford Panel truck so the engine is pretty much hidden. The carb is off but you can see intake on the block.

I was hoping that some people hear might have some photos of some ideas that I might adapt to my engine.

Ah, I remember now; it came with a mikuni but you have to refit the stock carb to meet the racing rules.

If you have managed to get a carb, bolt it on & we'll go from there. Otherwise, all I can suggest is search the site or the net in general for pics & see what you come up with

That makes sense. I'm waiting for the adapter that a local lawnmower shop ordered. When I get that on I'll post another pic.

I've been searching the web for pic's, but they seem to mostly be with the flat head engines .

Thanks!
