I think 0.025" seems safe and reasonable. Probably not optimized and hence not worth the stress, effort and money involved but Hey, Live and Learn.

This whole project is just keeping me busy (and poor). And teaching me. I like to try stuff out for myself. At least I can now say I tried to sand my head by hand. Lol
