I am working on a school project. and i need lawn mower engine
where should i look in Md VA,WV? thanks

What shaft position? HP? Mower engine could mean anything from a 3hp vert shaft to a 20+hp dual cylinder horizontal shaft monster.

After doing more research today, we are leaning toward building a off-road mini bike. Do you have any good recommendations on types to avoid or to consider building!? Is this a project that is too big for a high school student to attempt? Be honest!

A good engine is the 6.5hp honda gx200 clone AKA "blue motor" sold at harbor freight for $100. It depends on the student, Im in the 10th grade and money allowing I could scratch build a full suspension minibike but there are some people in my grade who dont know what a choke is.
