Okay, I have no idea how running minis/karts on electric works, but I have a question:

I wanna build a mini-bike (something quite small) out of some peices I have lying around. I have an elctric motor that has a plugin on it, but was used for powering an old cement mixer.
If I hooked that up to a 24volt battery would I be able to power my mini?

No, your cement mixer motor most likely ran off AC power, batteries supply DC power.
Those are 2 completely different sources of power and require the correct type of electric motor.

It wouldnt be very convenient, but you could run that motor on a minibike plugged into your house with a super long extension cord, or by using an electrical device called an Inverter that converts batteries DC power to AC.

aprox. how much weight is it gonna be pushing because you can get electric scooter motors quite cheaply off of ebay. those are 24 volts and run on batteries. and they have different watts so you can choose depending on how much power you need
