I'm looking for a complete u-joint, preferably something from a car steering shaft, or maybe an atv drive shaft. Let me know what you got, the cheaper the better.

Or a junkyard, where you'll have many to choose from and can possibly visualize how you're going to use it on your kart/mower.

Steering joints are typically u-join based these days but have either square ID collars for the shafts with a crossbolt, splines also with a crossbolt, or if you find something older you get a low-quality 'rag joint'.

I would definitely try a junkyard but all the ones around me have stopped allowing people to pick there own parts...I could deal with Square ID, or splined u joints, I just dont want to spend $40+ for one.

Yeah, I only have one u-pull-it near me and the other six near that one are overpriced, over the counter places.

Most fords from about 88 and up for cars, 92 and up for pickups, 93 and up for vans, mini-busses and shuttles, have the square ID u-joint with the crossbolt I mentioned earlier.

These are the years Ford switched from a long tubular steering column that almost reaches the floor to a "shorty" all-aluminum column with a much longer steering shaft with two joints - the joint in the engine compartment is a rag joint or a square ID joint depending on the year, and the inside joint is always a square joint.
