Hey guys me and my mechanic friend who is around 40 years old therefor very experienced will build together a go kart. We decided that it should look beautiful and, will be off road ( can climb mountains) well not climb but you know...
Right now we are willing to buy a plan of a kart/buggy which will guide us into building it. So if you know any cool plans or websites which sell em apart from ebay please post them. Thanks. :wai:

Edge is the way to go for awesome buggies. They are some of the best plans out there. You are going to need a nice large motor for this thing. A snowmobile is a good option because it has the CVT.

The Sidewinder plans are really good, I had no problem building it as my first real project. I lengthened mine by 180mm to get more leg room which was a good idea.

You will need a motorbike engine, unless you don't mind automatic's in which case a snowmo would be fine. I have a 500cc twin in my Sidewinder and never feel the need for more power, but I wouldn't want too much less. I'd say a 250cc is about right for the Taipan and a 500-650cc for the Sidewinder. I really recommend a single cylinder 4-stroke engine.
