Where are you located? Shipping might well be a dealbreaker for you....

Check the HF parking lot sale June 1. Might have the deal you’re looking for for a new one.

Thanks for the reply!
I am located in Schaumburg, IL. I ended up buying a 420 new last week assuming it was the HEMI, opened it out of the box to find its the 60340 instead of the 60349 model. I purchased a ton of parts for it (regrettably) and then found out its not for sale in store anymore. I may come pick it up if your within 6 hours! If not, i may just eat the shipping cost

Can you exchange it? Are the two engines no longer differentiated by stock number? It’s that way with the Hemi and non-Hemi 212cc’s, they are all under one stock number. I am also told that you cannot peek into the 212cc box anymore through the “punch-in” carrying holes to look at the valve cover. The holes are not there anymore.

So you bought the Hemi parts first and then the engine? Ouch, if so.

I can return it! I only bought it last week. However, I personally went to 5 different HF around my area, all of them are saying they only have the 420cc non-HEMI (60340). called corp. customer service; they don't sell complete 420cc HEMIs (60349) anymore, they are old inventory. i even had the guy look around the corp. warehouse for one floating, no luck.
Luckily I was just able to return the HEMI rockers and valve cover to OMBWarehouse. Now I'm stuck with some HEMI specific parts from GoPowerSports stage 2 kit that wont be compatible with the 60340 non-HEMI.
If anyone has a HEMI 420cc Pred, I would love to buy it! if not, I'll just build the newer non-HEMI.
I bought the engine, didnt check it, and then started rippin checks for parts lol. Totally my error.
Thank you!

Give this forum maybe 24-48 hours to respond to your thread, I’m just the early bird.
From what I know, no one wants to part with a 420, they love those engines!

Build the non hemi and sell the hemi specific parts to someone who needs them. If they are not being made, the performance parts will dry up soon, too. Go with the current engine if for no other reason than future parts availability.

Don’t you have a spare Hemi 420 to sell to our fellow brother?

Anyways Sike, continue the search. I’d look on Failbook Marketplace and craigslist. For success you may need to look weekly, daily, hourly and possibly change your search terms often because people are vague and stupid sometimes and may list it as a Honda, etc.

But do you really want some Bubba’s used engine?

Build the non hemi…

I recall a little bit of revolt against the ‘glorious’ 212 Hemi due in part because the NON-Hemi “speed parts” were way more numerous at the time. Part of it was the "negligible gains" of the Hemi head as well, at least as some thought to be the case.

Thank you guys for all the help! I’m going to just hold onto the Hemi parts and built out the 420cc non Hemi. Also I found a great frame for $250!

SCORE! Thing looks mint. No engine at all? Previous owner may have robbed the engine for other uses.

Is it a Carter Brothers Trail Runner?
Yes it is! I originally thought it was the Talon, but looking into it it clearly matches the trail runner build. No engine, however everything else is still there! Just need to reupholster the seats. Trying to figure out a good TC to put on it along with some better brakes! Looking at the 780 series TC ATM.
