Look at what I bought yesterday for $100

My son and I are building my 7 yr. old grandson a go-kart...Saturday we went to the go-kart store to purchase parts for the rear axle, the guy was busy and not very helpful so, we walked out more confused than we were before going there...Went to craig's list yesterday and put in go kart in the serach box...For $100 I got this kart with new rear tires and 4 hours on a 6.5 hp engine. It runs excellent and now I will end up with 2 karts...I am very happy with my purchase ...On the pictures , the red 1 is whhat i bought and the other is the frame we are building...Bob...P.S. I love this forum and the knowledge you guys have...

I got lucky in finding this, all other ones were $500 or more , I bought it to use the rear axle on the one we are building, now I think that I will leave this alone and finish the other kart with parts that I already have , never rode a 6.5 hp kart and was very surprised as to the power it has

Yes we were and I think the guy was there by himself on a saturday and had other work to do , but I was ready to order what ever I needed to finish my kart

Yep, even when your the only customer in that shop they have a long standing tradition of being very rude to customers. They also stock the lowest quality parts available and their prices are way above full-list. The only reason they're still in business is its pretty much the only shop in Phoenix that services and sells parts for fun karts.

Thanks, I thought I was being a little harsh on the guy but I was ready to spend money and I'm glad he was not helpful because I bought a nice Kart ready to ride the next day for $100...Maybe we should open up a Kart shop and actually help people spend money...What do you think? Bob

Yes his kart uses gas, yeah it is fast for some, slow for others. Fast is a relative term.
Does it work? Sounds like it, he rode it. Is it for sale? Unlikely, it was for his grandson.

Yes, you can buy it ...It'll have a new paint job on it and 2 new front tires and yes it takes gas and does a certified 25.6 mph and you can have it for only $395 and you'll have to pick it up in Phx. Az.
