What's up people! I've recently acquired an old yerf dog spiderbox for my 8yr old to learn to drive on. Sat in a field for a long time I'm assuming. Lots of upgrades and fixes made already, and more on order. Might have some questions down the road, but just wanted to say what's up! Love the supportive community here. Lots of knowledge to mine from y'all.

Forget all that noise, if ya want to teach, get one of those buggies with the rear view mirrors, headlights, tail lights, turn signals, seat belts, key ignition, dash board and so on. Even then, a poor substitute for teaching...

I taught my 8 year old to drive a car. It was a stick shift '75 Civic. Go karts are for hoonin around on. Keep it fun!

Want to say welcome, but you've been here 9 years. Just been quiet. Great kart for your project. Perfect age to get them interested motorized vehicles.

Uh, I think you forgot something. The blue tooth speakers in the wheels. Actually I think the Yerf-Dog Spider Box is one of the best kart ( buggies ) ever made. I've seen a few advertised with the industrial style engines in them. Don't know if they were early versions, or maybe converted over. Seems like most have the GY6 style.
