"ruin the bike..." well we're all intitled to our own opinions. Sorta like why I built the bike, with apes, suicide clutch, and jockey shift.... I can park it and leave the keys in the ignition.
There just aren't too many "ole pharts" left, or youguns with cajones bigger than a pair of peanuts, that have the know how, or desire, to ride a machine like this. So far, I've only found 2 OF's that could get it out of it's own tracks, most stall it out, and **** near fall.
It's an acquired taste, and a club not just anyone can live in....LOL. I doubt you'd make the grade....no harm intended, but it takes someone special for the radical old designs, even when applied to current technology. LMAO!![]()
Im 99% sure that the US is ALOT more lax. I doubt registering it as a custom build would be hard at all anyway.
How much does it cost you to register a car for a year over there?
I've a friend who used to live in England, he built a mini chopper and registered it for the road using a Honda Z50 engine. He bought a set of papers for a Z50 that was scrapped (so was never going to be on the road again) and got it registered that way, no one even had to look at the bike, he didn't even put the vin and compliance plates form the Z50 on! So he had his little mini chopper registered and as far as the authorities were concerned it was a Z50!
Stupid overly strict Australian laws......
Thanks
