well im used to horizontal shaft engines instead of vertical, for some reason i cant figure out how a primer works, because although i know it shoots gas into the carb for cold starting, mine bolts onto the carb, but only has one hose that leads into a pipe, how does this work?

my 8hp tecumseh is like this..... you mean theres only one hose coming from the primer bulb? must just be used to blow pressure into the bowl or something and excess goes into the intake... i dont know.

1994? that seems to be a year alot of briggs were made.... both my 8hp briggs and 6hp briggs were from 1994.

its a box with a primer at the end, and then theres one hose leading from the hole in the box and the end to a hose, but i cant understand how it works if its just pushing air, because the carb needs a little gas in it, to get her running
