i have lights on my go kart right now regular engine with no electric start i have front lights top lights and rear but it drains the battery in a couple of hours its a 12v car battery if i buy a motor with electric start can i get the battery charge from that so the bettry wont discharge

yes
if the motor has electric start then it will be capable of charging the battery

depending on how many lights u have if u have too many the engine wont be able to put out enough juice
