Man, I wish I had that many hand tools!

Thats years of going to yards sales every weekend for 4 months out of the year. (summer) Most are bought for pennies on the dollor. Hand full for a few bucks. 50 cents a wrench. It ads up. I have bucket of japan and china socket and wrenches as well. I like to buy all the nuts and bolts hardware I can find. I never really have to go to harware store to get nuts and bolts. Unless it's metric. But my stock in metrics is growing fast.

Bighead, a few things. I'm keeping the tradition alive of asking to be willed a small fraction of your tools when you pass on, probably in some Ody incident as I'm pretty sure you've made one of those into your DD by now. Also, where does one go about acquiring that many buckets and drums and why?? But all in all, WOW!

Sell hand tools? Are you kidding me? LOL

I worked at Proto Tools for 10 years. 50% of my tools are Proto. The rest are crafstmen and mixed. Very little Snap-On.

Proto did make tools for Cat. (sockets) So I have some of those.

Oh those are from my Meth Lab.... LOL

Just kidding.

As you may know I am a dumpster diver. There is a place by my work that tosses out thouse buckets and blue barrels. So about 2 weeks before my yearly yard sale I pack home all the buckets I can. I sale the white ones for $1 each. The blue ones for $4 to $3 each depending on what day it is.

I make a killing every year on them. They sale like hotcakes. Lots more off to the side not in the pics.

Having used both Craftsman and Snap-On, Id say they're of equal quality.

we dont get craftsman but i dout they have unlimited lifetime warrenty

thats what makes them sort after

cat went back to useing proto again so thats good
also cat uses snapon
my cat toque wrench came in a snapon box and the pliers have snapon engraved into them

It really is unlimited. You walk into Sears (who sells Craftsman), show them the broken Craftsman tool, and the send you to pick a new one from the shelf.

Well, I just came across this with StumbleUpon... OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!!!!

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55006

**EDIT**

Just minutes later... I stand corrected. Here's the Garage "porn" Gallery.
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=7

Then, once you're there (or now!!), view Mark's Monster Garage.... and look at each of the 28 pages. It seems like a lot, but the puddle of drool will take longer to clean up than it will to look at all of the pages. Don't so much read the comments, but read all of the OP's posts. It's stunning, and that wording does it no justice.

I'm glad someone resurrected this thread, now I won't feel so bad.

Here are some pics of my garage. It's big enough to hold two large cars as well as a 12' boat & a box trailer; right now I cant even get one car in it.

Yes, I know, it's a mess
