Nice site you guys have. Seems like a lot of friendly and helpful people on here.
Any way....... I'm NOT a fabricator, but I AM a Go Cart enthusiast. Like some others here (from what I have read posts about) I grew up on Hot Wheels, Mini Bikes and Go Carts in the 3rd and 4th grades during the late 1960's and early 1970's.
From there on, I had the gas guzzle-ing Hot Rod (1970 GTO) during High-School.
Fast forward to a few months ago when I saw a Go Cart at a local Flea Market and thought it would be fun to mess with. It's was missing the engine, steering column/shaft and steering wheel. On the way home I stopped off at Northern Tool and bought a steering shaft and steering wheel. I think I'll put a Harbor Freight "Predator" Engine in it for starters until I find a suitable Briggs and Stratton later on.
So that's where I am at with this project. Here's a picture of it. My research indicates that it is a Dart Kart.
