Less speed more power.

I want to take my kart off roading, i was thinking if I got a bigger sprocket on the axal would it give it more power (Torque?)
Im not exactly looking for speed, I just want to power to push up hills and not get stuck.

yes, a larger gear ratio (larger sprocket) will give you more torque and less speed.

yes bigger axle sprocket or more teeth on axle sprocket does equal less speed and more power
