Legends Nostalgic Drag Racing

Anyone else going to this? It's in Temple, Texas.

I asked them, they said I could bring my rat-kart but I wouldn't be able to drag race it on the strip. So I'm just going to show it off next to all the other cars. There's usually at least one or two people driving their karts and mini bikes around.

It will only feature 1973 and older cars along with vintage dragsters.

Is this the same drag strip from the 1960's? A part of an old road that was by-passed?

I think so. It's an old drag strip, been there forever. And yeah, it's parallel against the road. I took my kart down there and drove it all around the track. Even got some pictures.

In 1967, I ran a few of my street cars and a friends drag bike there once. Was stationed at Ft. Hood at the time.

Back then, I think it was Temple Academy. The guard rails were very close. I think the Strip was a little lower than the road.
