I have a homemade scooter that i would like to sell on craigslist. Obviously it is a semi dangerous item as is any of our homemade karts, bikes, ect. Since it was home built and dosent follow any regulations, how would one sell it so that they would not be liable for any injurys caused by the rider whether it be caused buy the riders poor skill or incorrect craftsmen ship? its a home made item that Im looking to sell, but again, its homemade.

i would just put in the post, "this is a home made scooter and it is dangerous, im not responsable for the injuries if it comes apart or you get hurt"

Don't give them your full name and meet somewhere public like a local wal mart parking lot or something if your that worried about it. It's no different than selling a modified car or that sort of thing IMO.

List it fs home made, this should be a disclaimer anyone should understand. And meet them at a gas station down the street (this to me is good CL practice in general when possible). They will no your fist name but not home address. You will be receiving cash so have a money pin to make sure it OS not counterfeit.
And if you need a response wait more than 13 minutes before bumping your post

I didn't think anyone was being an A

Are you serious? I cant imagine buying something and having the guy pull out a pen and check all my money.
If is 60 bucks no I don't but yeah if it is serious money you bet. I tell them its not that I do.t trust you, I just don't trust anybody. It is pretty hard to judge someone's honesty in 10 min
