Most people just leave the hose and stick a small breather or fuel filter on it.

Somebody posted on here the other day that is was Dumb to do that, and the Pressure was beneficial to the engine life.

But with a Custom intake filter there is no choice.

This is what I just read. Worth a thought I guess.
Yea, that hose should / kinda needs to be hooked up but not for emission reasons.

1. Having it hooked up will help draw unwanted vapor from the crankcase helping to keep the oil serviceable longer by getting rid of the water and acid vapors.

2. Will help keep dirt and water out of the engine as well as bugs that like to build homes in small holes.

3. Will help keep the outside of the engine cleaner by not blowing oil all over the place and in doing so will keep the engine running cooler.

4. Having a little negative crankcase pressure aids in ring seal and will help the engine to live a longer life by keeping sludge formation in the crankcase to a minimum.

So in conclusion hook the darned hose up if you want the engine to live longer. I cringe everytime some one here says just unplug the hose and put a fuel filter on the end without actually realizing what the whole purpose of it is. Hook it back up the engineers knew what they were doing when they designed it.

Drill a hole in the end of the filter (most have a solid cap on the end) and epoxy a barbed fitting in the hole. Then run a new hose from the valve cover to the air filter barb.

Thanks Denny, I will re-route the breather and weld a nipple onto the filter manifold.

Is there any adjustment on the TAV2 30 torque converter??
Did a maiden run today, and the clutch kicks in like a basted!!!
First nothing...
revs increase...
nothing..
more revs....
Nothing.....
And then....
BANG!!!''
This thing kicks like a mule!!!

Is there any way to have the torque converter engage more gradually??

It sounds broken, but I believe you adjust the engagement RPM by changing the springs. Lighter would be an earlier engagement, stronger would be a later engagement.
