New frontend.

Reducing the tail from +6" down to 3" solved the awkward lift when turning!!
Changed the position of the footpegs as well.

cool!

personally I'm not a fan of that foot peg placement tbh.. but I don't see "me" riding that beast anytime soon anyways :lolgoku:
Allow me to explain why anyways:

In case of a log, rock or puddle of mud to crawl climb or cross..
you MIGHT want to get up on your feet to have a good balance.

on asphalt roads those pegs might be very comfortable allright..
off road they look to be absolutely impractical not to say worthless though ;)

Again, just my 2cts...

Yup...Agree on your opinion about those foot pegs, the placement is totally impractical for any trail riding.
It just feels so much more "natural " and way more comfortable. I am considering putting on a second pair of flip up pegs but we will see where we go with this.

I can't wait tell you get that engine on!
Still a bit of work to be done before the engine and TC can be mounted.
Currently the motor has a tapered 3/4" shaft, so I'll have to strip the crank and stick it on a lathe. Most engineering businesses close next week for our summer holidays, so the engine will have to wait until next year

Does any body have a drawing of the standard 3/4" shaft on the Honda GX270???

Other than buying an unobtainable air filter adapter, any other way to modify the standard carburettor on the GX270 to take a pancake or standard filter??

By an abs plumbing end cap with a flat front and an OD that fits the filter size you want...
You can get the filters right, Just not the adapter easily?

A piece of pipe that fits with an end plate welded on.... I did similar with my bike in my build, used original parts too.
