He takes the person's cell phone who was texting, turns on the band saw, and pushes the phone into the running blade. The look on the kid's face was priceless. He wasn't pissed, just astounded at what was going on.

surly that is misusing the bandsaw also (in the whole be safe in school thing, school ids the only place i know where a file is considered dangerous)

we are not alowed to use wood that may have metal files in it so we dont wear out the blade

We have a different set of band saws for wood tech and metal tech. The metal have finer teeth and go slower. The wood ones spin very fast and have larger teeth. The phone was over the top but he had warned the kid numerous times prior to stop texting but he kept doing it. This was probably his 5th time caught.

He did it to a senior last year because he had it written up in his syllabus for the class. We had to sign it as well as the safety release to take the class.

I can understand that if its a crappy phone. Why are shop teachers always such *** holes? I just hope it wasnt a droid or iphone.

Dells hps and gateways are nice. I would get something with like a 15in screen and a core i cpu. If you get a computer like that it will last you a long time

yup. apple does that to college students i think u get a free ipod touch.
also teachers get discounted.... i think every company does tht.

btw about suing them well i know itd cost more than the phone but maybe you can still complain lol. thats just me i dont let much by that isnt right.... even though he shouldnt of been txting he coulda gave detention or taken the phone
