hello
i have bought a kz440 engine for a honda osdessey i have it all mounted up on the frame, but was wonder if anyone else has wired it up before. right now the engine has 2 yellow wire right by the sprocket and then comin out the other side of the engine there is a blue and black with a sqaure connector, any info would be great \

what year? i have a kz400 on mine, which has points. Assuming it does have points, that connector should plug into the regulator/rectifier, one wire comes off that, which will connect to your pos battery terminal, and then go to your ignition switch, on the other side of the ignition switch you'll need to run a wire directly to the yellow wire on the coil, and your all set as far as spark goes. The rest is basic stuff, like wiring in a solenoid, or an extra 12v rail for lights, etc. Adding some inline fuses wouldnt hurt either.

the engine is 1982. the odssey was already wired when i bought but no engine so i guess i might have to undo all the wire loom to see were all the wires go, on the buggy there are 2 yellow which would plugg in to the 2 yellows on the engine but i dont know if thoses are polairty senstive and the blue and black coonector there is a blue comin off the coil wherre the plug wire come off of tghe black might of been a ground
