hi i got a kx100 2 stroke bike, has 100psi, gives spark, carb is clean, but it wont even fire. all i hear when i try to kickstart it is the spinning of the rotors. i tried putting a bit of gas in the spark plug hole, too, but that never helped. ADVICE PLEASE????

100psi=time for rings.
When you say spinning of rotors what do you mean? Could you clarify? I'm wondering if what your saying is a problem with the kickstarter. Are you sure that when you kick it the engines turning over? If you've got spark and you poured a shot of gas in the hole it would fire. If the engine is turning over at least. How did you get your compression reading?

Tim, even though your getting spark, try unplugging the kill switch just in case...

You could also try pouring like 10-drops of motor oil down in the spark plug hole. Sometimes all the lube gets washed down from the cylinder walls, resulting in no-start/low compression-test readings :thumbsup:

PS:
Before you pour that oil in, elevate the front of the bike up higher, so the piston is completely horizontal. That way the oil will more evenly distribute all the way around the piston/cylinder-wall area, and hopefully help restore your compression. But if not, you might just have a partially stuck reed too...

if u truly have 100psi, it may take more than a kick to fire it up. often times when a bike is running low on compression you have to pop start it to get it to run.

compression tester. ill take a video when i get a chance cuz i got no idea really.

The reason I asked this was to eliminate a messed up kick starter. If you were able to test the compression it's turning over. As the other posters said the compression may be too low.(I've found they'll run with 100 but it's definately time. The shot of 2 stroke OIL in the plug hole will bring your compression up. Pour it in, spin it over a few times, then put a shot of your mixed fuel, add the plug, and see if it lights. It may not run good and it may be tired but it should at least fire on a prime. even at 100lbs. Intake or exhaust plugged? It should be firing when you pour the gas in.
