Hey Guys

For years and years I am a big Knight Rider Fan, but could not realy get the budget for a large replica. So a couple months ago I got my hands on a Coin Operated Ride called "Falgas KIT". This thing is loaded with all the stuff from the Knight Rider TV Show. Here is a Video:

It has sounds and Talks as well. So next step here is gettin all what you see on a Go Kart. I can put the Body on the frame, no problem...but there are some questions left. I see some people close their engine in with their body. How does this work ?? Does the engine do not overhead ? I have 2 options. Electric or Gas...what would you gus go for ?

:welcome2: I'm gonna assume by your name, Germany or Russia?
That is tiny?! Will you fit? An enclosed engine should not overheat. It has an internal cooling system. As long as it can get air,any air, it will blow this air over the engine to keep it cool. These engines are designed to run at 3600rpm, ALL day........

EDIT being that it's small, and fiberglass..... If you can find a good f'glasser, he could quarter that body and enlarge it a little, then re glass and re finish. Then make a production mold......

maybe you'd want to get your hands on this:

1984-xx-xx Montgomery Ward Christmas Catalog P163

with a bit of luck, you might find one of those (much closer to 'the real deal' if you ask me)

... while sitting still...

:iagree: As long as the frame is an open design, you should be ok...

... if you have quite a few hundred dollars laying around...

IMO, your biggest problem will be the electronics; the whole unit is mains powered (you plug it into a wall socket) so, there's a small chance all the electronics may be high voltage. However, there's a larger chance that there's a 12/24V transformer somewhere in the workings...

yes he is ... sorry to derail the thread

back to knight rider

Oh no no no.....They have an Australian themed restaurant chain here in America called "Outback"....and their slogan is "No rules...just right. ...."

That's a little bit how it works here. ...we just kill time time messing with one another. ....or going way off-topic. ....but we are here to help. ...and we don't kid around about saftey....and truly try to help. ...but we have fun in between....

I'm sorry. ...but here's my take....would you rather see NO response to your thread????...or maybe a little off -topic banter...that lets you know people are here...they have read your thread....and. ..rest assured. ...there are some of the best folks in the world here...that will help you. ..

Meantime. ....why not BS a bit????.?

I agree with Doug. I'd rather see some wise @$$ banter going on in thread I posted rather than see that 58 people have read the post, but not one single response...... :mad2::mad2:
We are basically here for one of 3 things.... Learn, teach, and have some good, SAFE, fun.... And yes that includes a little rib shot here and there, or some funny ha-ha's.....
Speaking of which..... You have all seen them ducks flying in a ^ shape, right? Have you noticed that they always have one side longer than the other? Did you know that there's is a scientific explanation why ? There is more ducks on that side, silly!! Dohh.....
Let me guess, you thought you where gonna learn an interesting fact..........:thumbsup:

Hey Guys

Well yes it is to short right now, but belive it or not: I am 186cm and the Body is 176cm. Once you cut out the area under the dash and its open and get the old coin box out of the way you can stretch your feed out. But yes I will make my own frame and extend it just a bit so it fits. If you look at this pic here:

You will see once this area is open your will have alot of room. I seen so many people do this the right way, it will work out :) Yesterday I got the new Sounds :) It will talk with KITTs voice from the TV Show :) We also made new Dash Style and other great stuff :) It will be a nice little ride :)

Thanks for the help with the engine, cause I wanna keep as much as possible from the body and cut out an area, I seen lots of people making smal corvettes with closed engines as well :)
