I need a little more info, one yellow wire comes out of block(im assuming that's oil sensor) hooks to little bass colored box---on off switch has 2 wires, 1goes to ground 1 goes to little brass colored box also, are you saying unhook oil sensor and hook kill button to it?

Yellow wire to your + terminal on your switch, - terminal on your switch grounds out.

A corollary to the above....
Use the yellow wire from the gold box.. And I would use a momentary push button switch...

:iagree: Yes use a momentary switch like a horn button. Particulary with this oil switch. Many go karts or small engine shut offs you have to hold down the ground switch till the engine dies. Utilizing the low oil shut off switch allows you to instantly Kill the engine with the "momentary" push of a button.

Oh yeah and that is a nice diagram. Simple and to the point.

You don't want the low oil sensor hooked up. Turning, stopping, gassing it too hard, it will all cause the engine to cut off.

Ya the round ones are the most common, as they have a sliding boot for covering the connection.
It dont matter really, as long as the connection dont touch ground(the motor or any chassis part).
