I need to connect a kill switch to my HF 6.5. Do I remove the ground above the on off switch on the engine and put the new one on it? Here are some pictures on what I have

this is the best i can explain it. when a kill switch is "ON" to run the engine, the switch is actually off. when you kill the engine the switch is turned on and grounds out the spark.

electricity looks for the least path of resistance so it goes for the switch to get to the engine block INSTEAD of jumping the air gap in the spark plug to get to the ground, (engine block)

EDIT: THIS IS with the low oil sensor already cut!!

Mostly right- except the kill circuit affects the low-tension (primary) side of the coil, rather than the high-tension (secondary) side.

Mac- If you do a forum search, there are several wiring suggestions and diagrams available here.

Black = ground, Yellow = direct line that will be tied in to the low oil shut-off (the wire coming out of the block, if you cut it there and line it in at that point it'll be very cut and dry).
