Thank you. Can't wait to get it fully operational so my niece can test drive it before I pull it apart for paint

I've just started an Itzy bitzy build and Chancer pointed me here. I really like the look of your kart with the 6 inch stretch.

Feel free to jump in on my build thread and provide pointers if you see me going off track... I'll be checking back here often!

Mounted the batteries (3-12v 5ah SLA units) in an ammo can on the cart.

These batteries are temporary as they will only give me about 20 minutes of run time max once I limit the throttle down. I'll be upgrading later down the road

I also made a dash board with the power switch and an indicator LED reminding the driver that the power is on.

Okay finally got some paint flowing. Jack shaft at a 10:1 final ratio is installed and I am about half way reassembled.

Why did you use a jack shaft? I'm also going to build something like this but still need to buy a lot of parts before I can start.
Why did you run only one wheel instead of both wherls?

Color looks great.

The 500 watt motor did not have enough torque to push the cart through the grass. It also struggled going up slight hills. This was with a 40-50 lb rider. With the jack shaft it will motor me through the grass (220 lbs) and now I have traction issues. I need to get some more aggressive tread on the rear tires. With the small kids riding it it's almost geared too low I'll likely go up a little in tire size on the rear when I upgrade the tread to something more aggressive than the sawtooth tires on there.

I did one wheel drive for simplicity/cost.

My niece had a blast in it on Father's Day.
