Kidkart needs help

Hello guys thanks for the cool welcome to the forum, some advice is needed I bought a carter go kart for my son and I . Found out it has two bent axels after I got it home it also has a rear differential wow I got the hardest to find rear lol. I took entire rear apart and straightened axels out in a press , cleaned out gears and will re pack w/ new grease my question is are these axels available anywhere or should I go with a single live axel if these should bend again il try to get some pics . And yes, that is a Comet SCD-1 diff.

You can swap it against a peerless 100 (also available in 1" diameter with different length axle-halves)
that's a bit more common, especially since it's still being made today (unlike the scd-1 for all I know)


Steering will be MUCH more difficult with a live axle, but once the axle fails again,
I guess an azusa flexpruf live axle is your best bet.

PS For now refit the SCD-1 and have some fun, hopefully your kid is old enough to deal with the additional forces once you need to swap to a live axle.
