Indeed it is difficult to find info on Ken-Bar. The one fun kart maker that does have decent documentation would probably be Manco as their “Owner’s Manual Supplements” are in several places across the web. These are nothing more than black and white exploded parts views though. There are a few bona fide Manco owner‘s manuals in existence.

Your dual disc brake Ken-Bar might have a differential axle which is a super bonus.

I’ll direct you to my fledgling Ken-Bar thread that has a few very rare brochures. I should probably start adding user photos of karts that are positively identified. I love them in original condition even if tattered.

This is the new one i acquired, just have the serial number not sure the model, i do notice a few differences from the sc7 being head rest and frame slightly different and one disc break. i actually bought this one with the plans of really just having fun with 420cc predator possibly adding suspension but wanted to know people thoughts on value of cleaning it up and keeping it original. and also has anyone ever added suspension to these i know it would require quite abit of re engineering but like o said i really bought it to have fun with working on and others for the kids or should i keep this original and mess with the other any thoughts or opinions or ideas would be appreciated thank you alll.

Not saying you're not up to it, but adding suspension to a ridged frame kart is a lot of work. Time and money ahead ( by a bunch ) finding a roller or a beater kart that was manufactured with suspension. Plenty of them out there.

Just enjoy them for what they are, a product from a bygone era, and which the product was so dangerous that the manufacturers got sued out of existence. Don’t reinvent the wheel and don’t try to be Evel Knievel. If you want a full suspension kart, build one from plans like a Spidercart (horrible faux pas on the name, it’s KART) or get a Chinese UTV buggy 😲

The small octagonal model number stickers Ken-Bar used are often long gone but the huge bumper stickers remain. 🤦‍♂️

I'd hold onto that Teckasheema engine, you never know when you'll need to prop open a door or something.
lol true i was thinking of just adding the predator 420cc engine to rooming key start and adding it to fromt of kart and being done with it and just having fun with them
