New here and extremely happy to finally find a place to figure out how to work on these karts.
I bought a used Ken-Bar Streaker with running Tecumseh 6.5hp motor recently. Right now it needs a new clutch and pull start since the cover is broken and the string disappeared as well. However while it is off the kart and I am looking for parts I want a little extra power out of it. I know there are tons of parts for B&S 5hp motors and I have one sitting here that runs but when bolted up the clutch and sprockets don't align (around 3/8" off) nor do the teeth match the original chain on the Tecumseh 6.5hp.
So my questions... Can I buy a new clutch for the B&S that will solve the alignment and tooth issue? And if not what are my choices for increasing power the power of the Tecumseh?
