Im new to the kart life and I actually wanna build one. I got a frame for 100$ that I like and I have no idea what brand it is. The thing is i have a friend that will sell me a KX250 for just only 50$ Hes a good friend so I know its legit. I just wanted to get some feedback on what you guys think. I was also concerned about a motor mount i have been looking but haven't found anything.

Thanks for your time

The pictures are not great its dark where im at will post more in the am

We've seen worse pics :lolgoku:

Welcome to the forum :)

I've seen crazy 125cc powered karts, A 250 will be downright dangerous... but, don't let that stop you...

A few things to remember:
1. A go kart is a bit (& I mean a LOT a bit) lighter than a KX250 bike so, it's crucial that the kart is set up perfect (steering, balance, etc)...
2. The centre of gravity & balance of a go kart, again, is totally different to that of a bike but, much the same as a bike, if the engine can't push through a corner, it will throw the back end loose &, if you're not ready for it, can be dangerous...

As long as you're aware of that & you still think you can handle it, go for it; we'll wanna see LOTS of pics...

Does the engine on the kart ATM run? If so, throw a seat in it, make sure everything works & start driving, just to get a feel for it...

No idea. Wait around for others to chime in with answers to that (be warned, it's been a bit quiet around here the past few days) or start looking into fabricating a mount...

Oh... I've been lurking for quite awhile. I just don't post that often. I just recently started trying to be more active. I've been reading all of the hijinks since I joined  :D

It does make this forum great. You're all a helpful friendly bunch.

Sorry to further the jack... now back to your regularly scheduled thread :p :D

Update

I have the motor now. It took a bit longer to get due to my friend being busy with moving. The motor honestly looks to big for my frame and im not sure if it will fit. I have to do some measurements because I still need a mount what do you guys think about fitment.
