kart shut down while riding and now,,,,, nothing,,,

Gy6 150cc was running and shut off,, now turning the key does nothing,, the dash lights don't even come on!!!,, seems I can never get these two karts to run good at the same time ,, fix one the other has a problem.....smh...please help!!!

Given the limited info....I pretty much am going to throw some sh#! out there and see if it sticks....but...sounds like you either lost a ground......or gained one....as in something is shorted out.....disconnect any "kill" prone wires from the engine....get it running....and re-connect one at a time.....

Found the front headlight wires, disconnected and touching each other on the floorboard , that most likely caused the short ,, but when I turn the key now the dash lights don't even come on,,, what have I done!!!

Blown a fuse

If its electric start then the battery will.be flat as well

Yes ,electric start gonna check it here in a bit, hope it is just a fuse!!! Fingers crossed!!! Lol

While you are going through it make sure to check each and every wire on that rig for shorts and corrosion. Just to have it done and you know what you have in the future.
