hmmm..
Okay, you're already done so this might be pointless...

.. but
personally I'd reinforced the repair since jb weld is brittle.
So as with concrete I'd embedded some steel (sewing needles) protuding on the back a bit to have some counterfort on the original rim.
over the height of a sidewall, I'd say three evenly spaced needles should do *shrugs*
you might cut some grooves (very fine dremel blade) when it's dry and embedd the needles in a thin layer of jb weld afterwards, but now that you're this far.. you might as well see how it goes without :D

I don't have high hopes on my repair I admit,
and since I guess your wheel will see the road much earlier than mine,
you'll be my crash test dummy for today :lolgoku:

Anyways..
if your repair fails, try again adding reinforcement ;)

Update: The morning after...

This stuff is hard.

Buildup level one complete, next up, build the remaining features.

4 pics. 2 of what it was, 2 of where it is now.

Stay tuned. I dunno.

Update again, took the thing to work to apply the 2nd bit of goo.

1. Fill in the rest
2. Make a small lip with enough goo
3. Turn over on flat surface
4. Let it set, let the goo form a nice & straight surface... then some grinding in a day or two after it's all set in place.
5. Last pic, after waiting for 30 min... and the goo is running down to the flat edge, a minor adjustment to make sure we have it all filled in.

Note: I know this probably won't work... but it's worth a shot to find out. Ultimately, I can get it welded & fixed... but sometimes, the journey is more fun to just experiment & see where it goes.

Update:

You can carve this stuff with a razor blade when it sets for about 6 hrs. Neat.

One razor blade = toast.

On to the dremel once it's totally cured... then we'll see how badly this will fail.

A little grinding here & there, not done yet... but when tapping this patch, it sounds just like the rest of the rim. Who knows, maybe it'll work?

I dunno.

Sorry I've been away... um... again. Life's just in the way.

But today, I honor those who'f fallen... by scaring the crap out of the entire neighborhood.

Sarge has a new motor.... and now is even faster. All shined up, looking pretty.

Hi!

Well... on a whim (and nothing better to do), something in the back of my mind told me to get up and go do this.

I'd struggled a while with a frame to use for Sarge II (the german version of Sarge) and even though I have a few frames, nothing seemed to work quite right.

So...

What do I do?

For the good of them all, and the artistic outlet it is... one must be re-purposed.

It made me sad in a way to do it, it really did. But when I look at Sarge and all the time I put into it ( and the fact that she's the most popular one) I figured I'd just do it.

... I took apart Urban Defiance.

Time to make an equal to Sarge... but a bit different.

Sid? What's Urban Defiance in German?

Not even close ;)

Uhm.. I think the best match would be
"ziviler Ungehorsam" (civil defiance to be precise, but at least a common combination ;))
or "urbaner Ungehorsam" (yes, that easy :D) but that doesn't work quite well in german it's edgy to say the least, but it's the literal translation.

Since Ungehorsam is a long and most likely bulky word for a non native...
there's a colloquial for that..
"Trotz";

so "urbaner Trotz" might work ;)

'sid

P.S

WAIT.. it's defiance as in "flouting", right?

or is it defiance as in "challenge"
in this case it'd be "urbane Herausforderung"
or if you like it a little bit more violent.. "urbane Kampfansage" (declaration of war)
maybe "urbane Provokation" (I guess you get it without a translation :lolgoku:)
