Moving on:

A stroll outside to the magical back yard has me cleaning up a bit and I look inside my old boat to see what's what as I intend to move it this year and make sure it has all its parts.

Inside are two fiberglass consoles I'd collected for it. One is pristine and the other is just a mess... and I don't plan on using it anyway.

Out with the tape I say!

Well would ya look at that.

A little sketching with the sharpie and a cup of coffee later...

Eat your heart out 'Sid. Yes, Really, it fits. We'll be putting the feet inside on this one.

It's fiberglass and just a disaster of a part but we'll fix that won't we.

Meet the semi...

Thanks for watching.

:kewlsmiley: :funnypost:

I LIKE IT!!! It's the proverbial blank slate. Any hint's on how you plan to finish it out? The flat black death ride? The chromed out Christmas tree ornament on wheels? I think those are two of the extremes you see out there.....

:cheers2:   Pat

I dunno...

While outside cutting I'm reminded of some goofy statement you always seem to hear when dealing with an artist.

One must see the sculpture within...

And apparently, I saw this one correctly.

Neat little thing eh? Lots of room for the steering & feet, LOL

s h i t... Meet other pieces of s h i t.

Looks great!

I think I'd patch the holes in the side somehow (visible patches.. NO PAINT)
Other than that I think I like that crappy character it has now with the visible sharpie lines, the fading colors and such.

It really looks like it was heavil used the past 30 years or so.

Oh okay, I'd clear the steering wheel some more of course :D

'sid

PS No.. I don't say it.. I'll just wonder silently from now on ;)

[EDIT]
huh? where's the first half of this post?
ODD!

Will do.

Steering cleared, a bit of trimming on the top, all is well.

I swear, the mock up stage is my favorite.

Meet the tow truck portion.

Update:

Seeing that this is the way we're going with the semi of death here, I figured I'd redraw the windows so I knew where to cut... or paint.

Also seen, the trimmed up insides and drivers area. There's enough room.

Maybe some side view mirrors?

One more little update.

I think I"m going the more simple route here. Patch up the body and just use basic stuff for the look... in this case, aluminum tape and a sharpie for now.

Mock up of the bumper too and a few other cuts to match the kenworth style of truck it is.

No, I'm not painting it like BJ & The Bear's truck. That's something Dennis would do. :)

lol

I keep waiting for him to announce an episode based on "Super Van."

Yup. The 1970's van movement... barely dressed hippies, weed, fights, SPLOSIONS... and a solar powered van with lasers. You can't go wrong with that line up.

A-Team ain't nothing compared to this beauty... especially with Ron Jeremey's gram-pappy here endorsing the whole thing.

(insert raunchy porn music here)

I think I had it from matchbox or hotwheels or something, is that possible?
I never heard of "Super Van" (currently searching of course.. looks like fun to watch) but that van looks familiar... *shrugs*

It is possible, they made them.

Originally it was known as the "love machine"

Speaking of that- allow me to totally ruin a classic with garbled lyrics. .....

DYK- Jimi Hendrix was a homosexual? How else do you explain the line in "Purple Haze" where he says- "......'sucse me while I kiss this guy? "
I thought it was ...'scuse me while I kiss the sky? Hey I was just playing Hey Joe on the guitar

I don't know the small tin one if any; I really can't remember.

Watched that movie, found it on yt... well it was...
how can I say that, I think it would have been a good movie for MST3K ;)

the van looks cool though :D

and yes it was "kiss the sky" except for one or two live performances where he made fun of the misheard lyrics ;)

Speaking of garbled lyrics how about Iron Butterflies In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida? do you remember that one?
