Hey everyone, New here and I am looking at this Kart and wanted to see if I could get some opinions. I have no idea what model it is, Carter with a 6HP Tecumseh. They were asking 650, but got it down to 500 so far. Is this something that can be swapped? (Can it fairly easily be replaced with a predator down the road).

Also wasnt sure if that silver cover thing was factory or something else lol.

Is 500 a fair price if everything works as it should?

Thank you!

Yes a predator is very easy to swap, the only things you may need to change are the throttle cable and possible a chain.
For the price I would try and talk the seller down to 400 maybe even 350, low as you can lol.
The tires look like they need replacing, well the driven tire anyway. Aside from that it is a simple kart ie: no suspension or special parts that would make it worth more, and if you want to swap out the engine then save your money for when that comes,
Best of luck

Carter has been out of business for some time, finding parts is a problem. Try and look for a Manco or an American Sportworks product, American Landmaster took over both names and parts are mostly available but slowly going away. If the Carter had a live axle/torque converter drive setup it might be worth considering if the number was right. "One wheel peel" karts aren't bringing much money.

Considering his asking price (which is pretty high) that would be a slap in the face in my opinion, be patient and you'll find a better condition kart for cheaper.
