what is missing

Hopefully someone can tell me what is missing from this accelerator rod & spring setup. They have a screw and nut keeping the cable from pulling through the hole. There has to be a better way to hook this up. The spring goes in the welded bracket to the rear, I unhooked it to paint.

Shouldn't the cable attach to the end of the rod?

I'm not sure, I think there should be a different pinch bolt where they have the cable going through the rod opening.

Throttle cable setup

I found a picture of how my throttle cable needs to be connected. Hopefully this helps anyone if they run into the same issue I did. Hopefully the picture won't be too small.

We don't have a thank you emoticon but, if you click the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom of the "quick reply" box or the "Post Reply" button above it, you will see all the emoticons.

NOTE: there's a "more" button at the bottom of the smileys box...
