Or, if gathering all those parts to DIY (vinyl, plywood, staples, foam padding, plus the skill and expertise) is cost and time prohibitive, seek out a nice Manco style seat on...

GoPowerSports.com...measure to be sure it fits your frame...

Us DIY members even enjoy a discount there...but I won't mention the code here...however it is well-mentioned in other threads. Do a search. :p

Thank for the help guys! I almost went out and bought a new predator to slap on this booger but thought i would like the aesthetic look of its presumed original motor and patina. I never had karts growing up so this is my first one. I probably shouldve started here instead of throwing money at a car for track days. Live and learn though.

Totally understood. For the cost of one jalopy, give or take, you can have like 3 go karts and a few mini bikes and have change leftover. Not to mention you can basically stack them all in the garage or in the same footprint a car would take up.

I think the grin quotient is way higher with karts though. You did good.

Kudos on keeping the engine. Run it, learn it, break it (via honest use/abuse). Then you can throw a Harbor Freight 212cc on it, etc.

EDIT: Wait, is that a flathead Tecumseh? The HS50 description says it is. Save it for a mini-bike fan boy and sell it for big bucks. They are getting hard to find...but the OHV Tecs are like a dime/dozen...
