my gokart i recently bought looks a good bit like that with a live axle and the same mounting place for the engine. Mine is a 1997 racing go kart
well johkah if it looks like that it's NOT a racing gokart or NOT from 1997 or neither ;)

Anyways..

that thing looks like a 60's kart to me... kinda like an acer racer (it's not!) or an Arrow (it's neither)

but well... surely I'd put it in that Era ;)

I don't know what is, But the rear wheels are Go Power wheels. They could be worth some money.

That is a nice looking kart, whatever it is.

I hope you get it and it's not sold out from under you.

That thing is really Cool looking. Just needs alot of TLC.
Do a restoration on it. Not a hack job.

It looks slightly more haggard in the bright sunlight but it looks complete, sans the engine of course. I wouldn't change a thing except removing the rust and paint.

Go over it with a bright LED lamp and look for painted over decals or a manufacturers stamp, embossing or the like.

Those look like vintage narrow slicks on the front. What tire brand(s) does it wear?

Looks like a BUG Sprint? sort of. mostly the steering wheel bracket design. Dont see a lot of go karts with that front end, could be added bracing?

Can you tell if there has been added pieces to the build? like something that looks welded on crappy?

The back support is strange as well. Hmm. Good luck on your search.

front looks a bit like a Dan Dee kart to me (canadian)
or maybe an Arrow or something.. both had rather similar bumpers IIRC.

But I can't find anything yet that matches this kart *shrugs*
I got old ;)

It has some Bug characteristics that's for sure. Like the pedals and steering hoop. It has 4" Azusa fronts and 6" Go Power rears. The front design looks similar to a Percival Hellcat. The original paint color looks to have been a Copper color. Also, it looks like it came with scrub brakes (someone has cut them off). Really unique seat tho - it's got a tail at the very top of the seat(kinda hard to see in the pictures) I'll try and take more detailed pics and post them later. Spose it could make a cool rat-rod kart?

Spose it could make a cool rat-rod kart?

You mean just service what needs to be serviced and then ride it around with the patina intact?

That would be cool actually.

I'd fix the rotten seat, maybe have an upholstery shop recreate it in new materials then artificially age it.

No racism please:thumbsup: lol

I apologize. That was a typo should have read Mexican.
I am in San Diego, so a quick trip across the border to TJ will get you to the shopping district and fine Mexican hand crafted Blankets. Sold Cheap on the street.
I did not intend to be racist at all.
Like the pic below. I have seen these used as Upholstery on Rat Rods.
