my old man brought this back and was/is in a state, so costs me nothing as he had it as some one wanted to get rid for scrap lol, so im going to restore her :) (i have all the wheels and seat) sorry i could not take any pics as a whole kart as i was keen to get started, hope you guys can help me out what make and model the kart is so i can get parts cheers. p.s im trying to cut corners by leaving the engine and steering wheel/rack brakes and pedals on, rather then taking them off to re do the frame OR does any one think i should strip it right down?? would it be that much hassle putting it back on?? thanks people.

I cant tell what brand it is, but what parts do you need. Besides the front spindles and caliper, most all parts from any brand of 1990's-era European racekart should interchange and fit right on.

Here's a couple links to racekart part shops in the UK:

http://www.kkckartshop.co.uk/

If you sent those shops an email with good clear pics, (and told them you wanted to buy parts from them) they would probably tell you what brand/model/approximate-year your kart is. If you find any serial/model numbers stamped into the frame, be sure to include those plus their location on the frame.

One thing you might do is look on the right front spindle mount and see if there are any numbers stamped there, if not, check on both of the rear bearing hangers. Most of the time the major racing kart makers put a serial number on the kart. As a guess, since the kart has a left handed engine mount, the brake pedal looks to be in the center, and it has a single tube for the front steering mount, I would guess that this is an 1980's kart, and I would make a WAG as to a Zip kart.
I would say go ahead and strip the kart down to bare bones and clean up everything and then you can check its condition and replace what is needed.
