Just got my kart going, have some issues. *updated with pics*

Ok so here's my setup.

I believe the frame is a 2 seater yerfdog.
Subaru Ex21 7hp
Clutch is a 10t #41 3/4 bore
Rear sprocket is a 60t
#40 chain
18 1/2 inch rear tires

So got everything on. Got on to ride. It's slow starting off but when it gets going, it flies. I turned around while driving and noticed that some sparks where coming out of the clutch while giving it gas. Rode it for awhile thinking it needed to be broke it and no more sparks. When I got finished with the initial ride and turned it off, there some smoke coming from the clutch. Not alot but enough to notice in the garage light.
When I was riding, I noticed when I started off on any kind of incline it wouldn't move. I would have to start it off on a flat surface but when it has momentum it's fine. So I'm not sure what the problem is. I can't turn the throttle on the card to full because it dies.

Clutch is worn, and just metal pads are scraping against the metal housing (sparks) And theres no grip left, explains why it takes a while to get going

Get a new clutch. My brand new clutch smokes too, especially in the rain (probably steam) Ive convinced myself that its normal

I just bought the clutch new at oreillys.

Then the gearing might be wrong. One of the experts should be able to tell you for sure but I wouldn't think it should be off bad enough to smoke a new clutch that fast.

Maybe not reaching full throttle? Have you checked to make sure your peddle is allowing the carb to open fully?

Yes it's opening up fully for sure. I can't put the choke all the way to fast because it dies and I'm having to keep it about half to keep it running. I'm having trouble finding the adjustment for it.

Also, should have a lil slake in the chain or should I raise the motor and tighten the chain?

You're geared too high for your tire size, and you may have ruined the clutch.
You'll have to gear down some, or get smaller rear tires.

Oh and you want the chain to have a little slack.

Ok how small of tires will I need to go down to or how far should I gear down? I'd like to keep the tires but I think that may be the easier of the 2.

Ok so here is the sprocket I have on there now, 60t. Is there a sprocket like this one with more teeth? If not, how do I mount a new sprocket in the axle with nothing to bolt to? I'm a n00b here so forgive my stupidy. Is a 71t sprocket with a 10t clutch going to give me enough of a lower gear ratio?

There are several ways to retain a sprocket to the axle- usually involving a hub. If you search on sprocket hubs you'll find some stuff.
And Shakethis makes a valid point that I missed- when the chain is installed and properly tensioned, you should have a wee bit of slack in it. 1/4"-1/2" is generally considered acceptable.

Ok some i found some sprockets with a unihub that will fit my axle. The biggers sprockets only use a #35 chain so that would mean I would have to go with a 12t clutch for a #35 chain. What size rear sprocket should I get to give me the better ratio. 18 inch tires on the rear.

An 84T sprocket would bring you down to 7:1 which is probably more along the lines of what you need. Deeper still would probably better but I don't know how big you can get them. You're starting to get into "I need a jackshaft" territory.
