Just bought this kart

Hey guys new here and just purchased this kart. Engine is a predator 212cc and it came with a extra car steering wheel and a kart stand. Only thing wrong is the guy i bought it off said he messed with the carb settings and he cant get it to idle right. Should i just buy a new carb?

yeah. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/301652349687?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82 try replacing the spark plug. i recently replaced a carb thiking it would fix the it but it turn out to just be the fricking spark plug.

Hold up, just because it's not idling right, you want to replace the carb? Seriously, there's not much he could've messed up...

Look for the black plastic screw with the big head & turn it clockwise a turn or two; now start the engine, let it warm up & turn the big black screw out until it sounds right...

Yeah, A bad spark plug could be. I remember it took me and dad a while to get what was wrong with my go kart. I could be a dirty carburetor, but there are (on mine) two screws, on adjusts idle, and the other, spring tension. Maybe bending the metal end that makes contact with the idle on the throttle end?
