Hey folks!

Just bought my first three go karts. This week. My daughter is 7 so we're getting into it together. I got this yellow ken bar for 200$. The motor runs. My biggest concern is the jack shaft is sloppy. Hoping to tap into this wealth of information.

Where can I find parts?

Amy advice opinions and what to tackle first?

What do I do about that jack shaft?

You can find parts most anywhere. We have a go kart parts thread in the FAQ section but who has time for that? 🙃
What is the OD/outside diameter of the jackshaft? Look for a ball bearing that has a matching ID or inside diameter and change out the jackshaft bearings.

Does it run at all or what? What did the seller tell you about the condition?

What to do first:
Charge battery(?)
Try to start it with fresh gas in the tank(?)
...
[EDIT]: we need more info about the kart

I bought it from an auction across the state. Kinda sight unseen. My buddy picked it up and dropped it off for me this morning. I'm on mids but tomorrow I'm gonna dig into it further!

You got all that for $300?? That‘s the steal of the year! Please update us on that raptor!
Yeah I kind of accidentally bought them. I bid on those two 200 and 100 and then the next day I bought my daughter a CK100 for $100 that ran good but I don't like that one. Then I won these two. So now I have three go-karts. But yeah, here's a picture of that raptor engine. I'm on my way to midnight's but I'm going to dig into him tomorrow.

Is the model number decal intact on the Ken-Bar? It's usually on the left side on the 'bumper sticker' label and on yours will be under the black plastic wire loom there. It's usually a stop sign shaped (octagonal) sticker and should have a single letter and three numbers.

The drive belt is wrong on it. ONLY USE GENUINE COMET BELTS!!!! It will save you many dollars and headaches in the short and long term. I can’t see what series CVT you have. Once the belt is off with better pictures I can tell. Bearings are easy to get BMI, MFG Supply, GoKart Supply, Azusa and about a million other places including NAPA should carry them.

Yes, you will need a 30 series Comet belt. Stay away from the cheep ones. They don't even come close to comparison.

Measure the center to center distance of the pullys and check the chart for what belt you need. The belt will be labeled for directional installation.

Wire brush the inner surface of those sheaves. You want them smooth and shiny.
Dry graphite spray lube the shaft on the bushings. Do not lube the belt surfaces.
