Hello everyone! Happy to find y'all. This looks like my kind of place.
Been on this earth 46 years now, and thanks to Grandpa and Dad, I have been turning wrenches and trying to go fast since before kindergarten.
I am a career welder/fabricator by trade for the past 30 years. First jobs were mechanical, and have worked a few automotive shops in between the years, mostly for buddies in the High Performance Diesel arena. It's one of the things I'm most passionate about, and seem to have a natural synchronicity with.
And being like this, in life anytime family, friends, friends of friends (word seems to get around) has issues or plans with anything mechanical, they seek me out.
And I wouldn't change it for anything, and I would motorize just about anything!
I've always taken the word "can't" as a direct challenge.
And of all the things in life I either instinctively know, or have learned through trial and error... The most valuable is simply, that I do not even know what I don't know. And nobody can.
I had a pretty serious accident just a few short years ago. Serious enough that I died. An exceptionally skilled neurosurgeon and host of other Dr's managed to Zombify me and set me walking again, so I've got that going for me...
But at that time there was a whole long list of things, a bucket list of things I always planned on completing in life, that would have gone unfulfilled if not by random chance and (luck).
I can say this much, I died doing what I always loved, and who could ever hope for more.
Lil piece of advice to any and all... Just wear the helmet.👍
However, I'm not one to be scared of from pretty much anything, and there is still a lot left on my bucket list. 90% of which involves homemade vehicles, and ridiculously overpowered engines that were never meant for those applications.
And I'm a firm believer that you learn something new every single day, no matter what.
And I'm hoping to share with y'all here who I'm guessing might be somewhat like-minded and let me into different ideas and or variations that I would otherwise be remiss of.
Thanks in advance y'all😎.
