Ok thx everyone for advice. I am 38. And my daughter is 15. All safety gear will be on. She runs the devil out of my Murray kilowatt which currently has the stock 420 on it. It would be after Xmas before I could get the vegas 460cc. All other karts she had when younger did have and the other three we have now do have roll cage. Younger kids will never ride. The street is a cul De sac not a .25 mile long. Even found an empty parking lots. That's y was looking for tracks that she could go have a little fun. https://youtu.be/GizSCAu8x1I

just trying to build something that me and my daughter can have a ball with. there is no replacement for displacement. I want a big block but know that it will almost never see max top speed just a lot of tire shredding bottom end. I wish I knew how to upload pics from my wife phone.

stock 420 for now and later a vegas 460cc. will need proper motor mounts, and I have a 40 series torque converter already. I posted on another site but if it wasn't racing then they weren't too interested so I decided to try here. thx for any advice

have done a few fun karts but never a racing chassis. My ??????'s are:

I have bought a chassis but how do I post a pic?

Lots of stop and go so I want to use tav. Is a 40series possible with little mods? (420clone)

What mods for chassis? Extended chassis? Does anyone have pics of one done? Send me a url/link? A track near 27524? I need to post pics of what I got because I also need brakes correct mechanical/hydraulic? Eventaully a vegas cart 25hp will be on it, but kart will only see limited top end. Usually low to mid rpm. Lots of stop and go. Tav will allow lots of low end torque. Rider is maybe 100 #'s and the other 300#. Will have about 6:1 gear

This kart will be high powered. But is only for fun. Thx.

I have no first hand experience with it, but I think generally speaking, big blocks won't fit on a frame like that without modification. There just isn't enough room for an "industrial" engine. If you lengthen the frame some (6-10 inches maybe?) you should have the room you need.

No doubt there is someone with first hand knowledge who will chime in.

i think since this is a racing frame but not used for full on racing that moving the seat to the left should make enough room. the research that I have done says that doing so could throw off weight and mess up the geometry thru the left turn but as stated this is for fun not racing.

she is about 115# and I am 300# so a torque converter would be ideal for me and offer awesome acceleration for her. and extending the frame is not out of the question. just have to use some solid metal rod to fill the inner diameter. I would love to see one of these did up and working. I know its possible to do a clutch with this motor but cant find one with TC.

in this application the clutch would not survive. esp. since I already have the TC

What is the center-to-center distance between the 2 tubes that will hold the adapter. Note that your first choice will not work with the 460 engine, and the second choice works only on international frames.
