How long is it from this end to that end ?
How long does it take to get from here to there ?
Why do 24 hour stores have locks on the doors ?
as long as we're still on earth...
- less than 12600 km
- less than 80 days
- holiday precaution ;)

Here's one that might be a bit tougher- Why did Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
the intercom is inside the helmet

Soooo- Why do they call a place you go to do a bunch of stuff a park and a place where even the cars don't do anything a lot ?

Why do they call it military intelligence?
The word Park comes from the latin word parricus which means enclosure, compound or ... lot.

Because as soon as you join the military forces, you are NOT allowed to bring your own brain.
And those are the ones that had one or two stemcells left;)

What hair color do they put on the driver's license of a bald man?

well.. does he still have eyebrows?

And I know you didn't wanted me to actually answer any of the questions...
And so we're back at my previous comment :lolgoku:

What's that got to do w/ the price of tea in China?

Did I Ruben?

How far is a 'yonder'?... and is it further than 'over thar'?

Why do they call it an auto pilot... when there is no car? and if it's automatic... why do they have to turn it on and off?

Why do they call it a hamburger, when there is no pork in it(not counting bacon burgers)

Yes, overyonder is a geater distance than just yonder or even shorter 'overthar. Still is between 0 and 12600km, but longer than the use of a different word to describ a shorter distance.

Why does everyone call it chai tea? Chai is the chinese word for tea...

Other examples include:
VIN number: VIN = Vehicle Identification Number
ATM machine: ATM = Automatic Teller Machine

How much money does it take to have a wad of cash?

If a tree falls in the forest........

How far do you have to go to "cross the line?"

What the heck does "keeping all your ducks in a row" really mean?

Why do people say it's AC current?

Why do people call young chickens "baby chicks"? I never heard anyone call their chickens "adult chicks".

If the universe is infinite- how can it be shrinking?

How much money does it take to have a wad of cash?

How good are your origami skills?

If a tree falls in the forest........

...which squirrel wins the bet pool?

How far do you have to go to "cross the line?"

How close is that line to where they find a really big leak in the seal line of a two part mold that they just poured ~ two metric tonnes of molten nickle bronze into at a temperature in excess of 3,000* F?????

What the heck does "keeping all your ducks in a row" really mean?

County fair midway; "PLINK!!! PLINK!!! PLINK!!! PLINK!!!" "Here's your stuffed toy!!!

Why do people say it's AC current?

Doug, I could try to give you an in depth answer, but it's more fun to put it this way; how much time have you actually spent pondering just that? Even more importantly, how much time will you spend in the future will you give it?????

Why do people call young chickens "baby chicks"? I never heard anyone call their chickens "adult chicks".

If they called them "PEEP'S", they couldn't eat the candy...

If the universe is infinite- how can it be shrinking?

The universe is expanding, and isn't looking back; what if the only thing shrinking is you??

Please do not forget my all time favourite:
LCD display... ;)

The universe is not exactly infinite..
well our universe is very finite, it's about 93mrd lightyears in diameter;
the observeable universe is much smaller.

The problem now is, it appears to be expanding (very likely), but you cannot be too sure, it could just be shifting (unlikely but not impossible).
what's expanding for sure is the observeable universe.
And also taken for granted is that there's only a finite number of atoms in this universe.

If you want to get theoretical there could be a superuniverse or multiverse which may or may not be infinite.
Oh btw infinity itself can be very small.
You can fit an infinite number of fractions inside zero and one alone.
One mathematical infinity equals -1, which in itself seems to be rather small doesn't it ;)

Ain't this a beeyauch! I catch flack for answering the first few questions- and now that's all everyone wants to do........

YES- There is no unanswerable question. That is not the point of this thread. The point is to contribute "unanswerable" questions. .....

So- :backtotopic:
