I don't have a proper Kart yet but I hope I'm in the right place anyway.
What I do have is a lot of Honda mini bikes and many more Honda motors. To be clear, I am a hack and proud of it.

I started this one about two or three weeks ago. it hasn't even been outside yet and my wife is already embarrassed. She says it is the Mullet of minis. I figure its business in the front and party in the back so why not?

I've still got several things to figure out, but this is where she sits now with a stock early (big valve) CT70 motor, Takegawa race cam and salvaged XR70 exhaust. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to get the bead to fully seat on these rims.

I hope to start on a ground-up Honda mini powered yard basher build soon; but for now just wanted to say hi and show you what I'm working on.

Cool Trike.
What kind of Crazy methods have you tried to seat those beads.
We can think of a few... If you need a hand.

Thanks for the welcome,
I was using Windex as a tire lubricant and it was not slippery enough. My friend put some tire mounting paste on the seat and it blew the bead right to the seat in no time.

Progress and setbacks:
Now I find this motor will not start. Not sure what is going on but I'm certain I can get it to run.

I used an online gear calculator after the fact and learned that my transmission, final drive, sprocket and tire combination should only get me to about 8mph @ 10,000 RPM in first gear and 3rd will get me to 20mph. Time to reconsider my gearing options to unless this is going to be used exclusively at tractor pulls.
