Don't know why I felt the need to post this....but.....I think it's a good idea....

A couple of times...there were animals in jeopardy....and my brother knew what to do.....

So....the first involved dying fish....saltwater bath...and dip in and out headfirst holding on to the tail.....even without the saltwater....I have resuscitated a whole bunch of "dead" fish this way,....

The second was a a baby bird we found on the ground in cold weather....eyedroppers of warm milk brought it back around.... years later....the same thing saved a full grown barn owl found floating in a water through in cold weather......

Then.....a baby lizard...that was basically cooked to death..that I brought back by cooling down and artificial respiration......

So.....the point is....without some knowledge...and action...these critters were surely doomed.....yet lived.....

Now..,.a huge portion of the population in the US is getting to the age they will be dropping like flies.....with the proper knowledge....you may be able to bring one of these cranky old fools back around....so we can pester you some more.......

So....the point is...if the opportunity presents....take a CPR class....that old fogey you save may not be me....but someone nice...like your grandparents......

All I've saved is some critters....but I can tell you....it was pretty awesome.....and saving a human.....well....mind boggling....just don't regret not being ready......

First aid and CPR training is never a bad idea. A worthwhile investment, to be sure. Solid advice.

Im 15 and i'm lightly trained in First Aid and CPR. At 12ish my mom made me take a babysitting class. Not that i babysit anyone but my brother, who's 3 years younger. Even though i didn't want to, in hindsight its important.
My other brother, who's 3 years older took the same class.

I want to thank the folks that have responded twice....once for posting....and once for getting certified.....

There are another couple of ways to save lives....neither of which I can do anymore....and they aren't hard to do.....

Give blood and become an organ donor......

I know you meant that as a joke,,,,,and thats ok...but...regardless of HOW we bite the dust...if we haven't made arrangements for our guts ahead of time....they can't ask us...and ...it's really silly not to....we won't be using them anymore.....

Like I said....I can't....they don't want mine...but most of you guys can...so do it...if you're not happy afterwards...come see me...I'll be on the bottom floor....
