JB-weld motor mount

So as you guys know I've had a problem with the front left side of my Baja's motor mount cracking, so today I figured before I go to get a new mount and get it all welded on I'd try an alternative, I jb welded the crack and even the solid welds just for the hell of it. Do you guys think it will hold ?

Not when you no longer have a welder, but it has been welded three times, Once by a welding company and twice by my neighbor

Not gonna do it. Determine the root cause, and repair by welding. If it keeps re-cracking, something is wrong. Either the welder(s) did a lousy job, or there's a structural problem (too flimsy).

the plate is really thin, and then it was welded in as if it were to small for the frame from factory. also at the same time the new motors have much more torque than the old one did . i figured why not try this as a last resort before a new motor plate.

If a proper weld won't do it, then the only thing the JB will do is waste time and money. JB won't do "structural".

Yeah kendelrk I would suggest a good strong bead and maybe some bracing as suggested above. A weld is far stronger than epoxy.

Jb weld is great.... But not for that!

Another quick, easy fix would be just to weld in a new plate. Just trace the outline of the other plate and holes and cut it out of a 3/16" or 1/4" piece of steel and weld it in there.
